Candlelighters Young Professionals Happy Hour

Thursday, September 17th, 6:30 pm
The Armadillo Palace
5015 Kirby Drive

The Candlelighters Young Professionals Group invites you to join us for a happy hour at the Armadillo Palace on Thursday, September 17th. Please join us for drinks and to learn more about the YP group for this wonderful cause benefitting families whose children are stricken with cancer. We have the back patio reserved. Look forward to seeing everyone there!

Candlelighters strives to make life a little bit easier for children who have cancer and those that love them. When a family receives a cancer diagnosis they instantly face a tremendous emotional and financial burden. Cancer is non-discriminatory and crosses all economic, demographic and racial lines. Our children are the smallest warriors with the biggest hearts, and they fight with all of their will to beat cancer. But, even in the midst of this battle, they are simply children. Through our services, they and their family, often find the support they need to face each day. Candlelighters currently serves between 800 and 1100 families each month and that number continues to grow.

Candlelighters offers emotional support through our Parent Consultant Program, educational support through our quarterly newsletter, and practical support through parking assistance, gas cards, meal passes and grocery gift certificates. Each year we host numerous opportunities for families to gather and for children to feel like kids again.

FrenetiCore is devoted to exploring the frontier spaces where separate approaches to creativity meet in new and interesting ways. Our performances attempt to combine music, dance, filmmaking, and digital design in a manner that explores modes of interaction among these diverse strategies of expression. We intend to nurture artists whose true potential lies beyond the confines of a single medium. Just as important to us is to showcase these talents for the enrichment and enjoyment of the public. We intend to mount performances that will allow collaboration with local artists and facilitate growth and development in new directions. Freneticore also maintains a studio facility dedicated to performance and education.
